Bill Slavin was born in Ontario and began illustrating at the age of nine when he produced a
prize–winning poster. He studied graphic arts at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario,
and then worked for a number of years as an art director for book publishers. Since 1990
he has illustrated more than twenty children's books, including The Stone Lion; Hockey
for Kids: Heroes, Tips and Facts; Rosie Backstage; Too Many Chickens; The Cat Came Back;
and The Kids Guide to the Millenium. He has also adapted many books to the computer.
Bill Slavin presently lives in Millbrook, Ontario. |
